Your clients' health answers never leave the device.
Backups are a file you keep, protected by your password.
What Inkroom stores, and where
Appointments, clients, inquiries, deposits, session records and photos are stored on your iPhone and iPad. If you turn on Sync with iCloud, these regular records sync between your own devices through your private iCloud account, which Apple runs and we cannot see. Inkroom has no account, no login and no server of its own that holds your data.
Health answers
Health questionnaire answers, ID photos, signatures and signed PDFs are encrypted and kept only on the device where the client signed. They are never synced to iCloud, never included in iCloud Backup, and never sent to us. Opening them needs Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode.
Photos and ID
Before, after and healed photos stay in Inkroom, not in your photo library, unless you tap Save. ID photos stay in the encrypted device storage described above.
Backups
You can save a password protected backup file and keep it wherever you like, such as Files, a USB drive or your Mac. It is encrypted with your password. We never receive it, cannot open it and cannot recover a lost password.
How long records are kept
You choose the retention period in Settings (3 years by default, longer for clients who were minors). When a record passes it, Inkroom lists it under Records to destroy. Destroying erases the form, health answers, ID photo and signatures from the device. Older backup files you saved still contain them until you delete those files.
Deleting your data
Destroy single records in Records to destroy, clear everything in Settings > Clear all data, or delete the app. With iCloud sync on, you can also remove Inkroom data in iOS Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on our side.
Purchases
Inkroom Pro is sold through the App Store. Apple handles payment; the app only receives confirmation that a purchase is active. We do not receive your name or card details.
Deposits
Inkroom records deposits you take by cash, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, card or your own payment link. It never processes, sees or takes a cut of that money.
Analytics
Inkroom contains no ads, no tracking and no third-party analytics or SDKs. If you choose to share crash data with developers in iOS settings, Apple may send us anonymous crash reports.
